At Riverside Theatre, as part of their Summer on Gilbert Street, Cyrano debuts. An adaptation of Rostand’s 1897 French classic, Cyrano de Bergerac, Jo Roets’ version uses a cast of five actors to transform this classic into a lively romance of wit, panache, sacrifice—and an enormous schnoz. It’s a captivating play for the whole family. More information here.

In Cedar Rapids, TCR will present The Burnt Part Boys. Go here for a Google Preview of the show. Word on the street is the Grandon Studio has been transformed into something completely different for this show…burnt

And of course, Washington Community Theatre’s production of 70, Girls, 70! and Old Creamery’s production of The Andrews Brothers continue this weekend. Or if you’re looking for something for the kids, check out Old Creamery’s The Reluctant Dragon. More info about that show is here.ReluctantDragonSo much theatre, so little time!
